To help launch the new 2011 Fiesta, Imagination asked Tangible to customize our Digital Graffiti application for Ford.
Three 65″ LCD screens with multitouch overlays were installed in the new Fiesta stand at the LA, Chicago, New York, Detroit and Shanghai auto shows.
Using the same interface as the rear projection version of the Digital Graffiti Wall, we modified the application to allow auto show visitors to paint by touch.
Painting into simple car outlines plus stencils, everyone who took part had the opportunity to capture their own Fiesta graffiti art and then email it to friends or colleagues, together with a Ford branded message.
The installation was a big hit with auto fans and attracted the attention of the press, including a dedicated article in the New York Times:
